Whitmore Riding School
Whitmore Riding School was founded march 1981by Brian Jones. The stables has a large outdoor menage 160 x 80 feet, and here we offer private lessons, shared lessons, group lessons and jumping lessons on a wide standard of horses. Whitmore Riding School has a cross country course with over 30 acres of land which has approximately 30 jumps to it. We are also close to Hanchurch Woods that has 1000 acres of forestry commission woodland with little road work to get there. We do 1½, and 2 hour hacks on request. We have pub rides on Tuesday evenings in the summer, and Sundays in the winter, and you may book party groupings anytime - please ask for details. For the over fours we do a children's lead round - we can also cater for children's birthday parties. Stable management courses and management days are organised for adults and children. Whitmore Riding School provides liveries - it has 25; 12' x 12' hunter style stables, fully floodlit yard, 80 acres of grazing yard supervised 24 hours a day. All riding school facilities are available to liveries, and we offer do-it-yourself part and full liveries. Children can be led round for half an hour on a steady pony, this will familiarise and give the child confidence for future lessons, a digital photo will be given to every child that comes as well as a photograph put on our forth coming web gallery.
The instructors at WRS are British Horse Society Qualified instructors. And the school is licensed by Newcastle-U-Lyme borough Council on a yearly basis.
